Pubs in Herefordshire at risk after Brexit alcohol tax changes and energy bills harm business

Hereford Times reported landlords in the area are now in a difficult situation, being forced to choose between price increases and risking the loss of regular customers or for profits to be hit harder due to energy prices that keep rising.

Wine and spirits are among drinks with high alcohol contents that will be taxed higher due to the post-Brexit system.

Chris Rollinson owner of the Saracens Head pub in Symonds Yat, told Hereford Times, "the trade is really struggling as it is with the energy prices more than doubling, minimum wage going up, ingredients getting more expensive. This is just another thing we can do without."

An answer that may help decrease pub energy bills could be a British Manufacturing Company called HeatingSave.
