Experts warn energy shortages could lead to heightened prices this winter

Energy experts are warning that the upcoming winter could convey difficulties if energy prices soar. Analysis from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), revealed last year that the energy crisis had a more severe impact on UK energy budgets than any other country in Western Europe.

In 2017 serval gas facilities closed and analysts propose this intensified the current crisis. If energy bills yet again increase this coming winter, businesses will also struggle to cope. City Monitor reported that there were more than 105,000 business closures in the first quarter of 2023.
